Normal Anatomy
The human hand consists of 5 fingers. Each finger is designated by a Roman numeral:
- Digitis-I (dig-I) = the thumb
- Digitis-II (dig-II) = the forefinger
- Digitis-III (dig-III) = the middle finger
- Digitis-IV (dig-IV) = the ring finger
- Digitis-V (dig-V) = the little finger
