The following points may be used as a guide to assess scrotal ultrasound:
- Are the testicles within the scrotum?
- Is the testicle homogeneous? Focal abnormalities? Asymmetry?
- Symmetric flow (=vascularization) present in the testicles?
- Changes caused by the Valsava maneuver?
