    Palliative Interventions

    Objective: symptom relief and improvement of quality of life.

    Palliative oncological interventions aim to alleviate symptoms and improve or maintain quality of life in the setting of non-curative disease. These treatments are not curative but can reduce symptoms such as pain, obstruction, hemorrhage, or organ failure, and may sometimes attenuate disease progression. Treatment policy is tailored to the clinical situation, prognosis, and patient preferences.
